Week Two February 2010 at Shinobi Martial Arts

Little Ninjas are working on a water defense against a punch while on their back on the ground.

Level One To-Shin Do Youth and Adults are looking at Tai-hodoki a defense against a tackle and Te-hodoki 3, a cross-side wrist grab escape.

Level Two To-Shin Do Blue Belts will be working on a water defense against a rear arm twisting hammer lock and a defense against a jacket grab.

Level Two To-Shin Do Red Belts will be working on a fire response to a kick and a response to an arm grab.

Black Belt Club is working on Teppo, firearm self-protection all this month.

Master’s Club will continue with the Ten Chi Jin no Maki, Heaven Earth and Human Scrolls of basic kihon training and combat.

Little Ninjas are working on Kihon (basics) this week doing their Elemental Movements Drills.

Level One To-Shin Do Youth and Adults are looking at Yoku-to an Earth defense against a straight punch and Te-hodoki 2, a rear arm grab escape.

Level Two To-Shin Do Blue Belts will be working on a water outward rolling low defense against a kick or low punch and a defense against an around the waist bear-hug from behind.

Level Two To-Shin Do Red Belts will be working on a fire response to a hook punch and a ground defense against a standing attacker.

Black Belt Club is working on Teppo, firearm self-protection all this month.

Master’s Club will continue with the Ten Chi Jin no Maki, Heaven Earth and Human Scrolls of basic kihon training and combat.

Kenjutsu Kihon Reminder

We will be having a sword seminar on Saturday February 13th from 1 to 4 pm. All To-Shin Do Youth and To-Shin Do Adults are welcome.

For those of you in the Sword Kihon Program this is the third part of three requirements if you wish to get Kihon Certified from Mr. Hayes in Ohio.

The cost is $60 for the day.

The seminar will review and continue with:

  • Ten Fighting Postures
  • Fundamental Cutting Drills
  • Formal Salutes
  • Mental Focus

Week Four January 2010 at Shinobi Martial Arts

Little Ninjas are reviewing and testing. It’s stripe week!

Level One To-Shin Do Youth and Adults are looking ahead to water movements and adults will be working with the hanbo (three foot staff) while the youth will work with shuriken (throwing stars).

Level Two To-Shin Do will be working on tanto knife and hanbo cane defenses.

Black Belt Club is working on Meditation Techniques all this month.

Master’s Club will continue with the Ten Chi Jin no Maki, Heaven Earth and Human Scrolls of basic kihon training and combat.

We are giving away Free Training for Life

Here’s how it works…

Every new person who joins our school becomes a friend and will be entered into the program.

Current students can be entered into the program by referring anyone who
becomes a Shinobi Martial Arts Student

Drawings will be held once a year or whenever there are a hundred names whichever comes first

Friends for Life winners receive free To-Shin Do Tuition for life at
Shinobi Martial Arts
